A Lions club was able to bring smiles to students faces at a Weston school as they handed over a big cheque.
The donation will be used to part fund the year six visit to the Isle Of Wight.
Key-stage-two teacher Kate Evans accepted the cheque on the school’s behalf as a part of the team who took the children on their trip to the island.
A spokesman for the Lions said: “The club was pleased to support a worthwhile activity such as this, which offered opportunities to enhance children’s education and learning development.”
The money comes from the Lions’ fundraising efforts throughout the year, including the real ale and cider festival, November’s carnival, teddy bear raffles and other fun fairs and bazaar.
